Structural Analysis-Determinate Structure

For statically determinate planar structure, reactions are calculated using three equations of equilibrium:

Sum of forces and reactions in x and y directions, ΣF_x and ΣF_y are zero.

The sum of moment induced by forces and reactions about any point, ΣM is zero.

For indeterminate structure, sophisticated methods are needed.
