Structural Analysis-Elastic Beam Theory

Elastic beam theory is widely used to calculate beam deflection.

To implement the theory, these assumptions should be adhered:

  1. Beam material is isotropic and homogeneous.
  2. Beam is initially straight.
  3. Beam exhibits linear elastic behaviour.
  4. Small deflection.
  5. Sectional area of beam is consistent all the time.
