Highway-Drainage

Inlets to drainage system are provided to convey the surface runoff diverted by cross slopes.

For divided road, drainage may be provided under the median.

Without proper drainage, water ponding and hydroplaning will occur at the lowest point of the road and jeopardise driver’s safety.
