Foundation-Pile Resistance from SPT Data

The pile resistance can also be obtained from the result of in-situ test, such as standard penetration test (SPT).

The base resistance of pile is depending on the pile and soil types, and such correlation is converted into a constant introduced by Poulos (1989).

Both base and shaft resistances of pile should be calculated using N60 value extracted from SPT test.
