Rainfall Data

The density of rainfall gauge in a network needs to be optimized. By doing so, the collected rainfall data would be reliable enough to describe the storm characteristics of a region, while incurring minimum maintenance cost and effort.

Rainfall data can be presented in either mass curve, hyetograph or point rainfall. For the case of point rainfall, simple moving average may be used to smoothen the data and identify the trend.
