Mineral Admixtures

Mineral admixtures are used as substitute for part of the cement or sand in concrete mix.

They are derived from other substances rather than being manufactured.

Some examples of mineral admixtures are fly ash, silica fume and ground granulated blast furnace slug (GGBS).

Unlike chemical admixtures, we usually need large amounts of mineral admixtures to achieve desirable results.
